North Hawaii Hospice presents the annual Floating Lantern Ceremony at the Fairmont Orchid on Sunday, August 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. to honor and remember those who have gone before us.
Lanterns will be available for purchase at the ceremony beginning at 5:00 p.m. for a suggested donation of $25 each. You do not need to purchase a lantern to attend.
If you would like time to decorate your lantern before the ceremony, you may reserve one between August 1 and August 23 by scanning the QR code in the flyer below or clicking the button below. Lantern papers may be picked up at our office on August 15. Pickup times will be provided upon reservation.
All are welcome at this special community event.
Helpful Tips
Please bring a photo of the loved one(s) you are honoring to display on our Magnetic Memory Board. You are welcome to take your photo(s) home with you at the conclusion of the ceremony.
The Fairmont Orchid has generously provided complimentary parking for our attendees. Please stop by the waiver and registration volunteers to sign the required waiver (for guests 18 years of age and older) and receive your parking validation sticker.
Please bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Complimentary water refill stations will be available throughout the event.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Fairmont Orchid. Dining options are listed below, including the conveniently located Kahakai Cruiser food truck and bar near the ceremony site.
