NHH Launches Mo’olelo Project

The Mo’olelo Project is a legacy preservation program in which a person’s life is recorded in digital form.  A caring and compassionate volunteer will ask questions to guide the patient through memories of their life’s journey, preserving precious insights to be treasured for generations to come.  The patient can also leave specific information for various members of their family including passing on wisdom, values and any wishes the patient may have for their family members. The volunteer can collect photos that the patient would like to share representing different periods in their life.  The photos and music will then be added into the recording.  The end result will be the loved one’s life story presented to the family in DVD form.

The Mo’olelo Project provides an important and meaningful opportunity for patients, families and volunteers to take advantage of the power of storytelling and listening at critical stages in life.
