Coconut Grove at Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii
In less than a month, we will hold our annual Floating Lantern Ceremony at the Fairmont Orchid on Sunday, October 13, from 5 to 7 p.m.
We are grateful to the Fairmont Orchid and all of you for your flexibility with our rescheduled date, made necessary by the September storm. Here are a few helpful points to note:
Lanterns: The pre-sale of lanterns is closed. Rest assured, plenty of lanterns will be available at the event for a suggested donation of $25
Parking: To make your arrival to the event as smooth as possible, we encourage carpooling. The Fairmont has generously offered complimentary valet and self-parking for all volunteers and attendees. For those who need it, there is a large, designated section at the southwest end of the parking lot (by the event entrance) for handicapped parking. Please note that valet parking, while available, is not the closest to the event. If you choose this option, a gratuity would be appreciated for the hardworking Fairmont staff.
Food and Beverage: Please plan ahead. While food will not be sold at the event, ample water stations will be available to our attendees. Below is a list of Fairmont Orchid on-property restaurant outlets open during the event:
Browns Deli – 6:30 am – 5:00 pm – No reservations taken
Hale Kai (Pool Restaurant) 11:00 am – 9:00 pm – No reservations taken
Luana Lounge – 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm – No reservations taken
Browns Beach House – 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Reservations Encouraged
Binchotan – 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Reservations Encouraged
We look forward to seeing you at this beautiful event as we honor and remember those who have gone before us.
