Bereavement

“In some ways love and grief are very much alike. They both have the power to forever change our lives. Just as I must surrender to love, I must surrender to my grief.”
—Alan D. Wolfelt, from The Journey Through Grief:Reflections on Healing

Grief is the normal and unique reaction we all experience when we lose a loved one.

Bereavement is the period of time after a loss when we adjust and look for continued meaning.

Understanding and support have a major influence on our capacity to heal. Drawing on the experiences and encouragement of friends and fellow grievers is a healthy action.

Grief support is available at no charge for anyone grieving or anticipating a loss. We offer a safe and confidential setting to explore recovery together.
